Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training

Role and Responsibilities:

• Supervise associates in the selling effort, lead the GET culture, and model exceptional customer service.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) during opening, closing, and overnight operations while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Night Replenishment Managers (NRMs) to manage freight unload, pack out, and pack down processes.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and hazmat procedures while reinforcing Safety Matters guidelines with associates.
• Support merchandise placement, signing, stock integrity, and daily financial operations.
• Participate in a structured training program, learning all aspects of retail store management including staffing, scheduling, performance management, and customer issue resolution.
• Complete assigned training modules and demonstrate readiness to transition into the Assistant Store Manager role.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience, including leadership experience.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, climb, and lift heavy or awkward materials as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing retail operations, freight handling, or store safety programs.

Education:

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
